One I missed when posting the others.

Yesterday was the annual "crazy daze" in the small town I live in. The firemen start the day off playing with their toys waking everyone up for a breakfast about 5:00AM. The days activities ended with a fireworks display. I tried taking pictures using a monopod because I haven't found a tripod that I can use from a wheelchair. The pics have a lot of camera shake. It was a good learning experience even though the photos aren't that great.

Need an Address please. They will go out in Monday's mail. Most of them look like this one. Black-N-Blue Fur Strip Clouser

I've been wondering about Graham too. I looked up his web site a week or so ago and it was certainly worth the visit. Graham' Home Page He has an amazing sequence of a Dragon Fly trying to eat one of his realistic house flies. Dragon Fly Photography Don't miss this.

Very nice looking streamer. The extra photos in the database are certainly worth taking the time to look over. -
I'm in with a Fur Strip Clouser with epoxied head. Black on a 1/0.

I would score the first one a 10 for the "pinky" stand. It gives a great perspective of how small they are.

Thank you all for your gracious offer to make up for my boo-boo but it won't be necessary to send me any flies. I don't get to fish very often and I have already accumulated more flies from swaps than I can ever use.

Thanks for posting the pic, 2liner. They look good. Herman that would be great if you posted pics of everyone's flies. I have mine shipped back to me in a padded envelope. When I got my set I looked at them briefly, put them back in the envelope and the envelope got mixed in with some newspapers that were on the table and they were thrown into the trash with the newspapers. :wallbash: :wallbash:

Fred H, Thanks for the kind words. I enjoy these swaps and try to make my contributions the best that my nearly 70 year old eyeballs and arthritic fingers will allow.

I got my set of flies today. Nice stuff. FC sorry for the 11 cent shortage on the postage. I guess it takes more postage to get them back to me than it takes to get them to you. :dunno: I'll make up when you host another swap.

Nice shots Jim. I like the telephoto shot of Pikes Peak. It really gives you the feeling of how tough it can be up there in the winter. Did you take it from the observation deck at the visitors center?

Bird Cams, show live views of nesting raptors Link To Bird Cam The Bald Eagles and the Horned Owls both have two eggs. The Owl cam gives infrared views. I just finished watching the female owl get back on her eggs. Since I posted the Eagles have added another egg. This pair successfully raised 3 young'uns 2 years ago and 2 little ones last year. Today 3/13. The Valmont Great Horned Owl eggs are about to hatch. Both eggs have pips.

I just checked the updated first page and noticed my flies haven't been recieved yet. I foolishly sent them to FC's address from last years swaps without checking. Please tell me it hasn't changed. :dunno: Nealbo PM'd me FC's current address and it has changed from last years swaps. My only hope is they will be forwarded to his new address. I did send them first class and they haven't been returned to me. Sorry for screwing things up. :wallbash: :wallbash:

Mine were mailed today.

When I first started tying flies, I fished a lot with these Bivisible Patterns because they were easy to tie and caught a lot of fish. The Renegade and Griffiths gnat are a couple more patterns that come to mind that are wingless.

When I first got my peak, The regular jaws would not hold a hook. Since I live not far from the Peak shop, I called Kurt and he told me bring it by and he would look at it. He replaced the jaws free of charge and threw in the brass screw for adjusting the rotary friction. I have the saltwater jaws and the regular jaws and have not had any problems since. One thing I would like to see is a knurled nut and pin for the cam lever. That little "e" keeper drives me nuts when I change jaws. I have drop it at least 2 times before I get it in place.

I'm in. I'll do a blue and white.

Your pattern photos are simply great. This last one just had me sitting here admiring it for quite some time. :wheelchair:
