I have used a good # of other vises , Thompson, Griffith, Regal, etc... and for me anyway, the Nor-vise is a revelation in my tying.. already getting faster, better etc.... WOW

Just got a Nor-vise and WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :bugeyes: I love it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a great vise.... I have the dry fly jaws and the large and small Jaws and it is friggen beautiful....

WOW good show to all.. I was a humble solider for 24yrs with the Canadian Forces, Radio Operator to be precise, Combat support...retired as a Sgt.. Also Dispatched E911 for 8 yrs, and worked Ambulance as an EMR for 6-7 yrs both while still in the Army, part time Dad for 24yrs, thanks to the CDN Army.. Worked for CUBIC for 18 month, a mid level American Defense Company, after retirement from the Army... NOW, thank God I am retired for good and am working on becoming human again and getting to know this wonderful woman who stuck with me all these years...and fishing and tying as much as I want.....or can....

Wow I only posted once since 2005... A heck of a lot has changed... I have a new Job... RETIRED Soldier and it feels good.... Moved to Lethbridge Alberta. IMHO the epicenter of Fly fishing and tying... great little town...close to Mountains and rivers of SW AB... Got a new vice Griffith rotary and then a Nor vise... Love the Nor vise have all the bits and pieces.. My wife Ann and I now each have a wonder dog.. I have a German shepherd named "Fischer" and Ann has a wonderful Golden Retriever named "Thor", both boys are 11 months old and doing great... Here is a pic of da boys...

I use a Thompson stationary vise, hope to on a new Dyna king this x-mass. But have tied hundreds or darn near thousands of damn good flys on it. Even sold a few hundred while living in New Brunswick.
