I've never used the WF tool. I learned to do it by hand from a tying DVD. Now, I think of using a WF tool like using a wrench on a wing nut (Granted, I don't tie very many flies smaller than size 16)

I have 2 young cats. I haven't tried to tie since we got them, fearing they will trash the materials or get into the hooks. Hopefully they will settle down enough for me to get back to the vise soon...

Peak for me. Started out with the cheapie included in the kit I got from Bass Pro, but upgraded as soon as I knew I would stick with tying.
