i like to fight the smallmouths on lake champlain, smallie why are you using an 8wt? wouldnt you think its a little heavy, ive always gotten by with a 6.

finally broke down today and bought a St. Croix Avid Travel Rod 9' 9wt with a cimarron 4, put some 9 wt line on it with 20lb backing and some scientific angler saltwater mastery line. thing feels light as a feather and the cork grip is sooooo smooth...
now all i need to do is use this thing!
