Well its been a while since I have been on here, and even tied or fished. Last year, I got my house broke into and they really did a number on me they stole everything I had right down to beer and food, and broke all my fly rods that steeldrifter built for me, then proceeded to trash my place. I got outa the mine and got home to find all my posessions gone, and our wonderful Charleston cops done nothing about it. I have just recently got stocked back up on tying supplies, and got a rod, and boy am I outta practice :wallbash: just got a new laptop today and this is the first place I visited, its good to be back lotsa good folks on here, and I hope between workin 6 days a week at the mine and takin care of my daughter I can spend a lil bit of time on here with old friends and make some new ones as well. I just recently found a new fly shop here in town called on the fly, and Im gettin some new rods and waders so I can get out and fish any chance I get, wont be much, but as we all know its better than none at all

I would like to thank Breambuster, and the guys and gal that was in the killer big bluegill swap!!! I did not get the chance to make this swap, because of some family issues, but a couple days ago, I recieve a package in the mail, and open it up and the first thing I see is a very kind note from Breambuster, and a tin of flies from this swap, great flies!!!! All of you did a fantastic job on the flies, and I really appreciate recieving a set of them. Im sorry Im just getting this message out, but I have been gettin crushed at work!! Thanks again Breambuster and the rest of you that were in this swap, this was really unexpected, and appreciated, as well it just goes to show how big of a heart alot of you all have around here. here on the 19th, Ill be going back to spinnin gear for a day, Im going with a buddy at work to a catfishin tournament at Indiand Lake here in WV. Its been over a year since I have used any spinfishin stuff, so Im actually excited to get out and nail some big cats!!!! Grand prize is $1000 bucks!! :headbang: Dustin

Hey fellas, Im sorry for not getting my flies out to you, and I hope you can forgive me!! I have had some real serious issues to take care of with my grandmother passing, she had really taken a turn for the worse in the last month, and to be honest tying was the last thing on my mind. Guys, Im very sorry to say, I cannot fulfill my end of the bargin on this swap, Im very sorry!! But in the last month my grandmother really took a turn for the worse, with stomach cancer, and liver failure. She passed away last week, and with dealing with all of the arrangements, and helping my grandfather, and my work schedual, I just could not get the time to get my flies tied. With that said, I hope you guys can understand and forgive me, but I must take care of my family first, its dwindling away fast. Thanks. Dustin

I second the apex anvil, I have one, and its a great little vice, and its got a life time warrenty, clamp, and pedistol, and the materials clip. great vice for the price!!! Its also tough as nails!!!! Dustin

I lost my grandmother today, I was very very close to her, she was the sweetest toughest lil ole lady I ever knew, she passed today after 77 years on this earth, she went to be with the Lord today, and she got her wings. I got the call while I was on the river, and got there at the house before the medics arrived. I got to tell her I loved her and gave her one last kiss on the cheek. She was loved by many, and will be missed by many as well, it has really hit me hard, because I spent so much time with her, and I had the pleasure of cooking the last meal she ate as well.
