  1. yes, reply options is the easiest in my opinion as well.
  2. After thinking about it my SLR camera case would be a good one. Cheap off ebay with several pockets front and sides and inside.
  3. Personally I hope to tie some new things with some fox hair to target some different salt water species and get back to the smokey mountain streams next summer ( missed it this year due to finances and total knee replacement ) and just plain get on the water more.
  4. Be sure to post some photos of your ties. Florida Sportmans Forum fly section has a lot of info it as well for the salt wit a few SBS posts.
  5. Once you get a good feel from Ed Jaworoski's book you should be able to tie from the other pattern books. I also have Bob and Lefty's books but need to check out the others too. All good stuff.
  6. Years ago I used to hunt Citrus WMA and shot a couple fox squirrels there too, but now they are protected. Didn't fly fish then and now wish I had saved all those tails from the deer, squirrels etc.
  7. I'm guessing Katie was slender had long strawberry blonde hair.
  8. Agree with all the above. However you did not mention hooks. A very important part of a saltwater fly. Mustad C68 series are strong and won't break the bank. The C47s are lighter for slower sinking flies and still good strength. And of course the 3407 0r 34007 Gamakatsu SC15, SL45, Owner 5106-031 just to name a few.
  9. Be sure to buy any and all fly gear now because in June it'll be curtains, dishes, towels, furniture etc. Congrats!
  10. Anybody here got one? I might be interested.
  11. Very helpful info. Thanks I fish mainly salt with most hooks being 4-1/0 so I'm guessing that for my purposes a seatrout or redfish won't be too picky at what I'm tossing.
  12. I have seen a lot of capes on ebay varying in prices from low to quite high. My question is what exactly do you look for to tell if one looks better than the other. I know splits are not desirable but most seem to have some splitting.
  13. Sooooo... you keep some in your purse at all times?
  14. After checking out the other wading boot favorites I see it's strictly fresh water stream boots. So what are your favs for salty flats that are inhabited by all the things that sting, bite, scratch etc.? After wearing out a pair of Hodgman's and Bass pro booties in about 9 months I bought a pair of Pinnacle dive boots and so far they are excellent. Very large zipper that's easy on and off. Very tough and almost a year. They have built in arch support and I wouldn't be afraid to step on a sting ray with them.
  15. Sweeeeet! I think one of those on a #2 would get some redfish hungry.
  16. Pretty obvious why Nikon, Canon, Olympus etc. are still in business not selling phones. But I will say phone toy cameras have improved.
  17. Definitely learning to double haul and you MUST let your backcast straighten out as spininBugs stated. Don't be afraid to turn around and watch it to make sure it does. Then you'll get used to how it feels when it loads the rod.
  18. I have Bob and Ed's books as well as Lefty Kreh's Saltwater Fly Patterns. Between those three It's pretty well covered.
  19. Love the Pink......save the Ti Ti's?
  20. You fishing the salt with those? Look awesome for snook etc.
  21. I would contact Hardy first. Then get out the hammer.
