I really like the idea of the true airbrush and the copic refills. I am going to get a hand fill of markers and if it does not seem to work out I can always just get a Iwata airbrush and the refills. I just don't want to buy colors that will not get used. Thanks for the input so far please keep it coming Eric

Hi all, I have decided to get into copic airbrushing and was wondering what color pens are used. I have checked out tons of videos and no one seems to say what color they are using, they just say red,green, blue but in my search at the stores it is far from that simple. they list the yellowish green, lipstick red and so on. I would love some help because at $8 a pop I really would rather not buy a color that I will not use. Thanks Eric

I finally got a chance to get out a try a few vises. I got my hands on the Dyna king Trekker, Peak, Regal and the Renzetti Traveler. I liked the Peak size but I was not a fan of the jaws and how they adjusted. The traveler seems a bit small, hence the name I guess. I really liked the clamping power of the traveler and the ease of placing the hook. I ended up with the Renzetti and after using it for a bit I really like it. Thanks for all the input it really helped me.

Thanks for all the great advice, I am pretty much set on getting the peak, can someone tell me the measurements from the desk to the hook I am trying to figure out if I need the brass riser for the pedestal base or not. I tie up to a 2/0 at the moment so the standard jaws should be fine if I am reading it right. I am looking at just the vise at $150 or the base camp model at $250 but I am not sure if I need the extra jaws and the other upgrades. Again I really appreciate all the input it really helps me because I have to order online.

I have been reading reviews and looking at videos for weeks and every time I think I have made a decision I look at another video and change my mind. I would go to a fly shop but the closest one to me is a hour away and they only carry the regal and Trekker. so I think my choice will have to be online. I think any of the ones above mentioned would be fantastic vises.

Hi all, I am looking at getting a new vice and was looking for some info and guidance. I am looking at the Dyna king but I am a bit confused. I see it listed as the Trekker, the Barracuda Jr and the Barracuda Jr Trekker. are they all the same vise? the write up is all the same on all three. I am a bit worried about the plastic screws to adjust the settings on it. I am also open to other vise info and direction. I mainly tie Bass Flies from size 4 to 2/0. I have also looked into the Peak, Renzetti and the Anvil Atlas. I would like to get a true rotary and my Budget is about $300. I am upgrading from a knock off Regal type vise so anything will be a huge upgrade. Thanks in advance to any help
