  1. I was just messing with DarrellP, my goal is to become more active, I’ve gained 20+ lbs since retiring Beside that, try to keep a cleaner tying area, when I look at my bench I don’t get inspired to tie, can’t find what I’m looking for

  3. Got back to Erie PA after a much needed rain. Shot a b4 and after rain pic, and some results . Yesterday I put 14 on the bank in 3 hrs. Size 12 Double Trouble ( lively legs) was the top producer, along with squirmy worm and the safety pin minnow . Egg flys as well
  4. So sad, Mike was a big inspiration to my adventures in tying Classic’s. Love his books and videos, more importantly he was genuinely a great guy and mentor
  5. I knew Mike Martinek and was happy to have taken a couple classes from him. I have a few of his Carrie fly’s, would either of you guys have any interest in them? I have a couple “matted” but the others are sitting in a box. I’d be glad to offer them to either , not looking for any money, them sitting in a drawer seems wrong
  6. Yeah excited to try these, I do lightly coat to just past the bead, thick Dave’s flex cement or a thin amount of UV resin, which above fly still needs

Emerald Shiner Hook: FM6050 size 6 ( jig hook), also using 7/8” safety pin Weight: 5/32” slotted bead Under Body: Tinsel Body: Polar Fiber to match the hatch, in this case white for bottom and a mix of Olive and Gray Lateral Line: Flash of your choice Eyes: plastic stick on followed by UV I’m hook on these safety pin jigs and I gotta believe these could be effective ice fishing

  10. Caught many on these zebra midges, size 14-18; Double Touble nymphs #14; peach estaz egg , Clown egg with bead , Sqiurmy Wormy ( best producer); White Death Zonker; Jig with blended color ( ug bug) Bottom photo is the double trouble

  17. Lizzy’s Frog This is for a display, inspired by its creator Tim England. Too many sections to list but it has thunder creek style rear legs, followed by stacked deer hair. Body: Four colors stacked, then trimmed Front legs: thunder creek style, they are glued in Eyes: painted bead, drilled ( counter sunk) then 4 mm dragon eyes inserted.

  20. Classic’s will strengthen thread control in working with those types of materials. You have definitely cracked that nut! I know you realize this But these flies are tough and the placement of a single feather can give of Fit’s, great job
