Very Nice! I love tying with various ribbings. Your flies look very fishy. I have used the Wapsi Stretch Tubing in the "micro" size on smaller flies. I undercoat with superglue and then put another layer on top and let it dry. I think the stretch tubing ties down smaller and weighs less. As a result, I've had good floatibility out of the flies I have tied with it. Thanks for sharing.

I have been using hooks from Togen's for over two years. I've not had any break in the vise, or on a hookset. My favorite hooks are the scud and emerger hooks. The finish is a little bright (for me) but I've had good catch rates in spite of them being brighter. I did notice on the smaller emerger hooks .... I got some 22's and 24's a year ago and then got a pack of 22's this year and the gape of the hook seemed to be more closed which made me shy away from ordering more. My feeling was a curved hook that small needed a wider gap. I was set to order "a bunch" but in the end changed my mind. The 18's and 20's (emerger hooks) were perfect. Canadian Llama can't be beat on their Daiichi hooks in the 100 packs. Good luck, Kerusso

Good job on the swap, Day5. This has got to be some type of speed record with this particular swap and I think that was due to the guidelines you continued to empathize in the beginning as well as everyone else doing what they could to get the box in motion. The materials inside the box were very nice as well. All in all, a great swap! I thoroughly enjoyed participating. Hopefully I can get signed up Monday night for round 2.

Glad the box arrived. I'm sure DHise now knows the size of the tungsten. I sent 3.0mm tungsten in copper and nickel colors. I sent 3.2mm Brass in copper and gold. I have smaller beads but didn't know if alot of you would use the 1.5 or 2.0. Anyway, there's 20 bags so hopefully everyone will get some. By the way, the speed at which this box is traveling is incredible. Can't wait for the second go around.

Dropped the box off tthis morning before lunch. DHise should receive box tomorrow. It's been fun ..... thanks everyone.

The box is ready to go amd will be dropped off at the PO this morning. Get ready DHise. I took 16 items and added 19. I added 100 tungsten and 100 brass beads (3.0 and 3.2mm) They are packaged in small bags of 10. The brass is marked with a "B" and the tungsten with a "T". I also added a few tools, and more materials. I put a small container inside with some thin mint wooley buggers and Shenks minnows. Hope y'all enjoy. Thanks, Kerusso

The box has arrived. There's alot to sort through. I'll try my best to get in the mail tomorrow. If not, definitely on Wednesday. I'll be adding some brass and tungsten beads, as well as some other materials and tools. Great box!! I'll confirm when I ship to DHise.

I'd say a small BHPTN would work well this time of year. THe last two times I fished the Caney small black woolly buggers (sz.14,16) and the small BHPTN worked well enough. Good luck.

AD, we're waiting to exhale .... hope you are ok. Let us know what's going on please.

Man, it's great the box is already in motion. I'll be adding some flies as well and wanted to ask those who will get the box after me if they target trout. Ill be adding several so take what you can use. Kerusso

Got mine yesterday, and its causing me no small degree of angst putting it under the tree instead of opening it up. Great swap! Thanks Tim, it has been alot of fun.

I could not agree more with what you all have said. All the materials I have ever gotten from FTD have been excellent. I have not ever been disappointed. It would be great if FTD carried a wide variety of hooks ( chemically sharpened Japanese hooks).

Anyone know the status of the swap? This was sure a fun one; hate to see it fall by the wayside. Pat, you've done a great job as swapmeister.

My materials were sent yesterday. Has anyone called dibs on getting the box first? If not, I've got dibs. :hyst: Just kidding. The anticipation continues to build.

Claudia, I've been tying soft hackles and midges of late. Nothing fancy, but I enjoy tying them. Sorry, no pics.

I'm in!! Yeehaaw. I've got several quail capes that need a new home. Nice gesture wayneb! Day5 --- thanks for taking the initiative on this. And thanks for setting some parameters. This is not a swap to get rid of stuff you never use. As I have understood it in the past, from time to time we get a surplus of good quality materials that we pass on through a swap of this nature. I'll gladly contribute some goodies to get the box started. Kerusso

BFR, I think I forgot to add my forum handle along with my name. Tom, it is me, and I was about to start having some fun with you incognito. Hope you are doing well. Whoever receives your flies will certainly have a treat. Let's go hit the SOHO sometime. Kerusso (gqualls)
