  1. Thanks! Been playing around with different camera angles. One camera I added a polarized filter using an old pair of sunglasses. Helped a little. Hope to have more videos... just gotta a rain delay to deal with today.
  2. Bummer. Big storms in our area today, too!
  3. Another round at the local pond, caught more Bluegill and Sunfish using a Foam Grasshopper. Not as big as yesterday but did get a nice Bruiser Bass that went 19" in size. Posted pictures on the Fishing Bulletin Board and got some action shots posted in the YouTube video. Today's Video. Bluegill went for a Grasshopper, Bass went for the Bluegill like yesterday but this time, we were able to bring the Bass in! Fun stuff on a 4 weight!

  5. Thanks mikchell, been playing around with a new camera and trying to get different angles. Will keep your suggestions in mind with the next video. As always thanks for the great feedback!
  6. Foam grasshopper again! Fished a local pond that we had not fished in a ling time. Good to see the Bass and Bluegill are still there! Did have a couple of others go for Bluegill on the line but they chased the fish instead of eating it. Did get some video of one of the Bass "looking" at a Bluegill on the line. Did not have a polarized filter but in the video you can get a glimpse of the Bass... nice one; moreover, it was one of the smaller ones! Today's Video. PS: Posted the picture on the Fishing Bulletin Board.

  8. Thanks! Lots of green stuff making it tough to fish but the grasshopper seems to keep working! Caught several Bass and Bluegill, and one Sunfish. All went for a Grasshopper. Crossing our fingers the City puts the "blue stuff" in the water to slow the green stuff from growing! Today's Video.

  10. Grasshopper pattern keeps working; lots of green stuff to foul lines and lures. Grasshopper was able to stay "green" free and fooled a few Bass and Bluegill! Today's Video.
  11. Grasshopper pattern keeps working; lots of green stuff to foul lines and lures. Grasshopper was able to stay "green" free and fooled a few Bass and Bluegill! Today's Video. Tried a Bluegill pattern but the green stuff in the area kept fouling the line/fly; will give it a go again once the green stuff goes away.
  12. Good advice.... would have been good to have. That Bass had the little Bluegill in its mouth briefly before it let go. Thanks!
  13. With all the green stuff clobbering the ponds at Bethany Lakes, decided to tie some Foam Grasshoppers for this evening's round of fishing. Good thing, caught a number of Bass and Bluegill. Posted a video of some of the action this evening; of note, was one Bluegill on the hook was almost taken by a nice Bruiser Bass that got away. Got some video of the "attack"! Today's Video.

  15. Tested out a new fly pattern - no name for it yet. Caught a bass and lost a bass, then switched to damsel flies and caught Bass, Bluegill, and Sunfish. Good to have the fly pattern in the fly box for days like these... Fun stuff! Today's Video.

    Micro Fly Rod

Tested the two piece micro fly rod yesterday; went well.... Yesterday's Video.
  19. Tested the two piece micro fly rod yesterday; Damsel Fly Variant worked well; but, may need to go with a size 14 hook as the fish were smaller compared to the pond fished the other day. Yesterday's Video.
