  1. I found those, but I wanted to read the article.
  2. I am looking for the superhero article in the Winter 2009 Fly Tyer Magazine does any one have this issue and are they willing to part with it?
  3. Nice looking "Lefty's Deceiver" and although it may not have been tied the same way Mr. Kreh ties the fly and it may be missing a few feathers, IMO, It still looks like a "Lefty's Deceiver" and from your underwater footage I would say it acts like a "Lefty's Deceiver" so I would say it is a "Lefty's Deceiver". If we get over technical about how flies are tied, we can lose some of the enjoyment we find from tying flies. So, I will say it again, Nice "Lefty's Deceiver" and video. Your videos are very professional and informational. I myself have done a few videos and can say that they are not easy to do and I respect anybody who is willing to share what they have learned through videos.

  9. Got mine today, Thank you for the time and effort put into this great set of flies. jfinn thanks for hosting...lets do it again sometime.
  10. When I say down I don't necessarily mean the bottom I just mean deeper than a fly without extra weight. Bob Clouser's book "Clouser's Flies: Tying and Fishing the Flies of Bob Clouser" says that the Clouser minnow originally was just a bucktail fly with lead spit shot tied on it to get a jigging action. The flies would "dive and dip like jigs." (Clouser Deep Minnow) and if one continues to read the chapter of the "Clouser Deep Minnow" they would read that although they did fish them in the Susquehanna river, they fished them in the deep holes of the river. In my opinion yes they can be fished sucessfully throughout the water column, but they were meant to be fished deeper than just the surface.I don't think he intended it to be bounced off the bottom of the river but i do think he wanted to go deeper than the just below surface. I think it was the action that the added weight gave the fly that he was after.
  11. I generally use Large eyes to get the Clouser down.
