Good evening, I'm a US service-member deployed to Kosovo. I have fished nearly my whole life, but only really began tying flies during this deployment. I have been learning from videos, books and picture-tutorials. I have seen a marked improvement in my flies over the last few months, but am looking forward to learning much more from folks on this board. I love to fish, and tying is the closest I can get to it while deployed. I will admit, however, that it is frustrating to not be able to fish the patterns I am tying to see if they are good enough to get fool the fish. Tying is very relaxing/therapeutic and has been an absolute God-send this deployment -- I wish I did it while in Iraq! I've attached a few photos of my work station and my humble supply bin.
