  1. I got this one from Amazon ($6.99), it works just fine so far with Silver Creek's resin: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001VZC5LA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00
  2. Thanks. I completely missed that, search skills must be lacking nowadays...
  3. I ended up with a bunch of these in a pile of materials I traded for several years ago. I guess this thread is a good place to ask; anyone heard of this company or know anything about them? I haven't had much luck finding info.
  4. I'm a fan of a sz 12 mini hopper for gills, and it's so easy even I can tie it. Not my ties, azwanderings pic: Also a fly called the "Nothing Special" that was posted on here a while back, I believe by user"The Cream"
  5. I have a Jackson Cuda 12 that I fish from and am very happy with it. Standing is fairly easy, just a bit of practice and it's no problem. It and a lot of other brands now have the adjustable high/low seating positions also, I pretty much just use the low myself. Not a "fast" boat compared to a touring kayak but plenty of speed to get down the river when I need to and it tracks very well, had a canoe for years but 99% of the time I'm solo and the kayak is much better for my purposes. Casting is definitely different from that close to the water but I got used to it quickly. I won't go into the story of how I lost my brand new rod from Steve on that first trip with it though....
  6. Cabelas has their RLS+ combo on sale for $159 right now(regular $319). Rod, reel, line, leader and case. Might be worth a look Roland. http://www.cabelas.com/product/home/fly-fishing-combo-sale|/pc/105625080/c/661997880/cabela-s-rls-fly-combo/1555116.uts?destination=%2Fbrowse.cmd%3FcategoryId%3D661997880
  7. Missouri you just have to have it in your possession unless you're fishing in one of the state trout parks, then you have to display your "daily" trout tag.
  8. I think FlaFly means Polarized.
  9. I agree with Mike about the amber lenses, I use them for all conditions. Of all the sunglasses I've ever had, I have to say the Maui Jims are by far my favorites even though they are too expensive. Haven't lost them yet, luckily.
  10. Got mine today, thanks everyone! Great looking flies by all, thanks for hosting David.
  11. Flies were sent yesterday afternoon.
  12. I'll have my flies finished up by this weekend, got a bit delayed. I have enough tied up, but I want to redo some of them.

  20. What do you use to punch out the flip flops Mike?
  21. Well, that^^ definitely ends the speculaion! Sometimes the electronic world we now live in is a great thing. Thanks for the info Mr. Hise.
  22. Sept. '84 - Oct. '87 Mike. I got out in '90. I guess fishing conditions could have changed since then.
  23. I was stationed at Guantanamo Bay for 3 years, we never had trouble catching fish.
