  1. I use a sa titan taper for bass fishing any of the short shooting head style lines should serve you well though, what wt rating is your rod?
  2. I recommend getting a super cheap bobbin holder dedicated to gsp, doesn't need to have a glass tip or anything, gsp tends to make your bobbin holder all nasty and gunked up.
  3. Very nice, really a pretty good picture too, kimo sets the bar for good/great pictures pretty high here.
  4. I do a 3ft section of 20lb mason hard mono, 2-3 ft of 20lb maxima and a 2ft section of 10 or 12 lb im using plane cfx right now I'm pretty happy with it will likely buy it again when I run out.
  5. Mine are all sort of odd balls, 2 from Steve 10ft 8wt and a 10ft 6wt, the third is a 9'10 4wt I built, all of them cast great but Steve's look much much nicer.
  6. You could do a cheap fix yourself it probably won't be pretty but you might be able to use something like a small piece of hardwood dowel for the stint, wrap the eye with some fly tying thread and super glue it. Then you'll have something to fish with and you could save up some money to buy a nicer rod, Steve's are great especially for the price.
  7. Mcfly is one of our members here he has a lot of good you tube videos for tying different flys for many different species of fish I recommend checking out his you tube channel. The above mentioned fly tyers dungeon is great for dubbing, fibers, and flash. https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC88cGtLpHiHEXhyUGiXFP7g
  8. I like those too browns less often, i feel like it's one of the beers they often don't put much effort into. I generally prefer ipas when it's hot out.
  9. I do like a good session ipa.
  10. Oh yea I don't give them a choice if I thinners there's a chance of big bass I fish the 6wt or 8wt.
  11. This is why I fish a 6wt minimum for bass now my 4 just doesn't have the power needed to keep them out of the crap, I also use a 12lb tippet.
  12. I've had my current 4oz bottle of stickfast flexible ca glue for over a year my bottle of medium is at 2+ years old both are still doing well. I did have to buy a new cap for the flex as I poked the old one with a bodkin.
  13. Philly steelhead is pretty decent for sure it's fairly common here, that bottle looks like the same company that makes trader Joe's yearly vintage ale along with a few others they stock there Fin demond is excellent so is the TJ vintage and it's cheaper.
  14. I usually just use super glue, especially since I knocked my bottle off hard head over.
  15. I really like the umpqua u555 jig hooks for bass flys or really most flys I tie on a jig hook, good wire thickness and superb quality at a fairly low price.
  16. I think that one will fish well, might be a good pattern to tie on a jig hook
  17. I have thought this particularly about the fish in every video, no respect or caring for its well being, rod handling is sloppy but I couldn't care less its not my rod.
  18. Nothing wrong with recognizing when you've done a good job, as long as you also recognize when you don't.
  19. I can't change pages in thread page one on my phone it's super annoying if there are multiple pages I have to go back to the main section of the forum (the lodge in this case and click page 2 for the thread) if I've started on a numbered page (example 2, 7,20) of a thread I can change pages by changing the page#in the search bar to my desired page. I also often have a hard time getting the comment box to respond I will have to click quote on a comment and erase the quote in order to post or zoom way in and click it. Also happy birthday Mike and congratulations on the shop.
  20. Yea I wouldn't want to work that close to someone with a blue house.
  21. It's almost impossible to accidentally end up with 2 hot feeds on a 120v outlet, you would have to go to the panel and disconnect the neutral and connect it to a different circuit breaker than the hot is already connected to.
