Thanks for the update Darrell, looking forward to receiving them.

Looks good, glad to have the site back up.

Received a great set of flies yesterday. Thanks for hosting BB, and thanks also to the participating tiers. Can't wait to try them out.
Just purchased a new camera, have to figure out how to increase the depth of field, so excuse the flies that are a bit out of focus.

I'm not sure about value for me, but there is alot of satisfaction.

I might have missed it but is there a due date?
April 10, I believe.

Looks like there's a few hairwings already, so I'll be tying up some Henryville Specials.

I don't have one, but I have seen a few go at auction within the last few months:.

That means that all sets are in but 1. I will let you know when they get here.
BB
Thanks for the update. I'm like a kid on Christmas Eve waiting for the loot to arrive.

Guys, when I try to even the tips of kip tail in my hair stacker, nothing happens. Does anyone have a suggestion for getting the tips even?
BB
I try to do what I can with the hair stacker, but since it doesn't do a real good job of it, I'll further even the ends by hand. Or I'll use a synthetic like Flat Rock Native if I have it in the right color.

I'd like to take part again, please.
Probably a Wulff fly, will have to check my supplies before I decide which style.

Looking at last year's successful patterns and trying some variations. Both tied on 5/0 hooks.
Nice ties, but is looks like you stole my coffee mug.

maybe it's a category that can be added to the "Species/Tying Style Specific Forums" section.
+1 on that thought. Some great creative flies posted here.

Mine hit the PO today, check PM for tracking #. Thanks for hosting Doc, enjoyed tying those and it gave me a reason to buy a chartreuse bucktail.

Thanks BB, glad you like them. I can tie a few more up and send them to you, just let me know the size.

Wow.! That is the biggest gill I've ever seen.

My flies went out today. Thanks for hosting the swap BB.

I picked up a similar on a while back, but it was so frustrating to tie with I threw it in the bottom of one desk drawers and haven't touched it since.
Great idea using them as legs, denduke.

Thank goodness my dog and cats don't touch my stuff, even the fur and feathers I harvest. My tying desk is a big ole mess most of the time, with feathers, flies, yarn, hooks, and fur flung all over the joint.

I only keep a fish (trout only) under certain circumstances: if I damaged the fish in some way and it won't survive, when camping, or when I know I'll be visiting my Dad soon after, as he loves trout. So maybe 3-4 times per year, and I fish several times/week in the warm months.
And I never keep any pan-fish or Bass. Last year I was fishing for the first time with my new brother in law, who's from Pennsylvania. I pulled in a slab of a Crappie and he nearly had a heart attack when I threw her back. LOL.

I've found, often, that my foam flies tend to twist line while casting. No matter what side it lands on, it will roll over a few times as I twitch the line. If there's not TOO much twist, it will finish hook point down.If it lands upside down, pop it and it will usually right itself.
In my experience, this is it in a nutshell. One quick pop and it flips over, then it's time to let my line unwind.
Also, when tying, make sure your non-buoyant and water absorbing material is on or below the plane of the hook, or at least blow the foam sections. .

Interesting, looks a little like a Crappie. Did you keep and eat it?
