Im sure many people already know about this, but I just found some Marine Bungee at Lowes for 38c/foot that has hundreds of white rubber legs in it.

Someone with a 3d printer might be able to make you some. The design looks simple enough.

Thanks fshng2
-
fshng2, What wire do you use to make those shanks? I've been thinking about trying to make my own.
-
Thanks all. I went with regular thread for the time being. I didn't like how the GSP I tried frayed and slipped.
-
Thanks for the input
-
I'm buying GSP for the first time, but I was wondering what denier to get. I've tried what I believe was 100 denier before, and I couldn't break it. So why buy 150 or 200 denier, other than for the minimal thread buildup? Is it just for the bulk? I'll be using this for larger streamers.

Good flies (and fish). I wish I had trout close by.
-
Bimini, those are good looking flies for bluegill. Are they imitating anything or just "flies"?
-
And how do "people" become courteous when "Us" don't teach them to be?
-
Exactly, they aren't. "Let he who is without sin cast the first stone." Everybody does something that annoys somebody else. Hating them for it doesn't do squat. Maybe we could mentor people instead of condemning them. For example, if we could just convince all of those people that they would rather be home tying flies instead of out canoeing and rafting...

Why has the site not been running? I had to get in through an thread.

Just curious, are mop flies neutrally buoyant? It seems like they would absorb too much water for dry flies.
