  1. Very nice. As a guy that has worked with his hands his whole life, Arthritis is one of the things I fear the most. Best wishes to you on that.
  2. I think the main point is, and it's an important one, when you deviate from a popular fly pattern, for what ever reason, you need to tell people it's a deviation or a "variant" and not the way it was originally tied. I don't think anyone is being overly critical if they point that out. People can be knit-picky at times, in this case I think it's completely within-bounds.
  3. He is one of the few that left because he thought some people were being treated poorly here.
  4. Those would also be killer for some of the Steelhead waters up here.
  5. I got the surgery when it started to effect my fly casting. I had it done almost 10 years ago and it was well worth it. Quick recovery and no re-occurrence.
  6. Sadly, I will be gone for 12 days on a deer hunt / fishing trip so you will have to go without for a little while.
  7. I was going to guess George Letort. 😁
  8. There may be one or two draw backs to living in Fairbanks. We got no Dollar Store. Everything has to be shipped.
  9. Yeah, they tricked me into tying little ones. 😁
  10. Nice video, great job. Not that Norm needs my back-up but yes, the original Blacknosed Dace calls for three different colors of hair to resemble the real Blacknose Dace. People tie, and make videos of their' own variations of flies all the time but to be accurate, if you want to be accurate, you would want to point out how your variation differs from the original. You didn't ask for critique but we know you are eager to learn and do good stuff. Nice vise too, your rotary is a true rotary. Good stuff.
  11. Good luck with your chicken chuckin'.
  12. It is a lot like a Klepper. This one is 21 feet long and has three seats. All aluminum frame. It has no inflatable sponsons though. I like it.
  13. I'd have to go to Anchorage to find a Dollar Store. Yuch
  14. Gettin' ready for 2 weeks of deer hunting and chicken chuckin' down at Sitka. These are some Non-Pelagic Squids I brought back from the last trip and put new chicken on. The heads were re-used as is.
