    Hackle - Brown tied on as a collar and tied back and down
    Wing - Dyed gold gray squirrel tied low over the body*
    Topping - Strands of gold Flashabou Accent

    *I used dyed yellow gray squirrel tail

    Tail - Dyed orange golden pheasant crest feather*
    Butt - Black yarn
    Ribbing - Oval silver tinsel
    Body - Rear two-thirds, embossed silver tinsel; the front third, orange floss
    Hackle - Guinea fowl barbs tied in at the throat, then orange hackle barbs tied in front
    Wing - Gray bucktail tied low over the body, with an overwing of black bucktail
    Cheeks - Jungle cock eyes or substitute

    Wings - Barred teal barbs tied over the body

    This British pattern carries the name of its creator, who first tied it.

    Wings - Barred teal barbs tied over the body

    Charles Campbell of Wall Street, New York, a lifelong member of the Beaverkill Trout Club, is the person from whom this fly got its name. Campbell was an old friend and customer of Reuben Cross. The Campbell's Fancy at one time was rated high on the Beaverkill for about two weeks around the first part of May, and curiously enough, nothing else would take its place.
