  1. I like the Wintery farm house myself. Photobucket has a new image editer. I hope you don't mind: Old photo Bronze Chris
  2. I haven't sat down to practice tying for a while (Reel Recovery rod build). I want to target some pike on a fly rod this year. I thought I would try to tie a fly for them. Twin bunny strip tails and red marabou body and collar. So, I have a few questions: 1) Should it have eyes? No? 2) Should the head be bigger? Smaller? 3) Orrr, should I give it up and buy my flies? Chris
  3. I guess this would fall under Coldwater: I'm getting ready to go ice fishing for walleye on Sunday (2/10). I'll have my minnows on tip-ups. But I'll be sportin' a 2' jiggin' rod as well. I know some of you fish the Hard Water too. So, give it up, are there any flies that work under the ice? Any input is welcome :help: Chris
  4. Absolutely beautiful shots!! I agree with Graham, top shot...top notch!! Chris
  5. While I was wandering aimlessly down back roads following the Kinderhook Creek, I think I may have found some prospective fishin' holes come spring: I also found this on the side of the road: I've also added some photos in the "B&W" thread, including the shed. I hope you like them. Thanks for looking. Chris
  6. When I got out of work this morning it was snowing. The way it stacked up on the trees had a real "Christmassy" look to it . So when I got home I grabbed the camera (Kodak Easy Share), and headed back out. I started playing with the B&W setting.... I saw this fence, and after seeing the fence photos here...well, I just had to: I hope you like them. Thanks for looking. It could be my eyes (aint slept yet), but they're looking a little fuzzy near the bottoms :dunno: Chris
  7. Do they even look like an Adams? The wings are off, but I used what I had. Chris
  8. :hyst: :hyst: :hyst: not even close :hyst: :hyst: :hyst:
  9. There's a new member of the RBF that built a beautiful cedar strip kayak. http://www.rodbuildingforum.com/index.php?showtopic=16704 Chris
  10. Yesterday a couple friends and I went on a hike to Kaaterskill Falls (highest falls in NY). We were a little late for the peak colors, but it was still beautiful. This one is from behind the upper half: Chris
  11. A sepia tree B&W creek last winter Chris
  12. Will, Those look great! I took a few fungi photos over the Summer. I guessed this one couldn't have been too old. I don't know what is dripping from this one. It wasn't watery..more like sap Chris
  13. I think it's a beautiful picture! It's 'dramatic', as well as 'serene and calm'. Well...to me anyway :dunno: Chris
  14. Good luck to ya'!! After the whole car thing...you deserve it :yahoo: Chris
