  1. Wow, thanks guy's, sure feels good getting a warm welcome. I guess I'll have to take some step by step pictures of tying, to share. I have a few pictures hidden in my non-fishing web site, at: http://www.solarexpert.com/fishing/fly-tying.html Graham
  2. Hi, My name is Graham and I live in southern California where I tie flies and catch crows in the back yard. Just kidding. I enjoy tying flies, both time consuming realistic patterns as well as figuring out the quickest easiest pattern that will be productive. My favorite fish to catch are brownies, steelhead and bass and I occasionally fish the salt. I’m lucky to have lakes close by with decent populations of large bass but I need to travel to catch colder water species. I spent a couple of hours reading posts on this web site last night, learned a lot and joined. Looks like a great group of people and hopefully I can contribute somehow.
  3. I fish because it’s a primal urge I cannot resist. I watch others jet skiing and swimming in bodies of water and my only desire is to see and hold the mysterious and magnificent creatures that dwell beneath the surface. Having used almost every legal fishing method conceivable over the years to accomplishing my desires I have noticed that I get the greatest satisfaction from catching fish with flies I tied. Basically there is nothing I would rather spend time doing than fly fishing. It’s challenging, good for the soul and re-energizes and relaxes me at the same time. Who could ask for more? I am not a meat fisherman and typically release my catch and keep the memories, hopefully with the help of a camera. An added bonus is meeting others with similar passions, who often become life-long friends. One of the most enjoyable weeks of my life was spent fishing with Nick Pujic last fall for big browns. If I ever win the lotto I will be a full-time trout bum.
