tennessee_trout 0 Report post Posted March 11, 2022 This blog looks like fun...anticipate learning a lot On our way to Eastern TN. Can't wait to jump on some browns from the Watauga and Holston rivers down there. Pretty excited to check out the Smokey's, Telico Plains, the Nolichuckey, and the trout steams in the National Parks. I told my wife she can pick the house, as long as I have a garage, a fly tying room, and I pick the location. On the 24th, we shove off for Chuckey, which is just South of the Tri-cities. Philly 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2022 Welcome to the board, Phil. Can't help you with fly fishing East Tennessee, even though I spent almost 5 years at college in West Tennessee. Long before I started fly fishing. No trout in that part of the state. One thing, it's "y'all". Maybe someone on the board knows how to tie the Yallerhammer. It's a local fly some folks I met years later liked to fish in the Appalachian streams. Have fun running the ridges for trout. Watch out for the copperheads. mikechell 0 Report post Posted March 13, 2022 Welcome to the site, Phil. Y'all should have a lot of fun investigating new places near your new home. I hope the gas prices level or fall, so you can afford to drive to places not so near, too. Expanding on Philly's post: "Y'all" is singular ... when talking to or about one person. "All y'all" is plural. citing Jeff Foxworthy.
