Jumping in on this one as I’m curious if you have to seal the cork with anything?  Silly question maybe?

I seal the corks by smearing CA glue or Krazyglue w/brush all over them when I’m gluing bodies to the hooks.  $1ea....   Sometimes I take worm hooks and bend them to make hump shanks; the 3407 hooks do nothing.  The big one is 7/0....Might wanta brake out the 12wt. Sportsfans...

Update.  Few more for the next set. Got hinged display case from HobbyLobby half price, $12.  Found some interesting pheasant feathers.

You need to find some duckers for the lil black tipped feathers that are on wings, especially Mallards.  Can you buy whole duck wings?   They’re legal for fly tying.

 Good dawg Duke!

Pretty good there.

Yeah, I don't know any successful duckers, LOL, I do find some feathers on my hikes with my dog.

Wings are pretty easy to some by in shops.  I have seen duck skins for sale, but only on the internet, and I'm a bit reluctant to buy without seeing them in person.  I'll wade through what I have and come up with something.

Nice hunting partner ya got there.

Jim Harrison,  the writer, said that he quit marking time by years and started marking time by the dogs he had.

They say animals, dogs don’t t have souls.  I’m convinced they can smile, frown, reflect, think, and dream....

I don't know about the souls part, but I do know that if there is a place where dogs don't exist, it certainly is not what I would call heaven.
