Viable fly or an exercise in seeing how much stuff I could fit on a hook?  Even if it’s just the latter, it’s good practice in thread control and proportions.

collar - pheasant rump dyed orange (1 Tbs Rit Sunshine Orange/1 cup water)

With the original dry fly fanwings - really nice denduke.

I'll say it again, one of my favorite patterns - wet, dry, or streamer.

Didn’t have the correct feathers for true fanwings...Closest I got to the streamer are these with the Badger wings.

I don't worry too much about exact materials, as long as what I'm using serves the purpose.

@ Squeezy does this hopper pattern have a name?

...........or should we call it the "SSH" = Squeezy Smallie Hopper?

Like it!

Morning Gillage - I suppose we could call it the SSH!

Inspired by a post in the step by step by @SBPatt tying the Rance's Gypsy King.  The differences are:  I only tied it one set of double legs, Glued the tail to the peacock herl, green hackle, and most noticeable would the folded head.  I wrapped some black cactus dub to fill under the head.  It sure looks like a small mouth would eat it for breakfast though!
