I’ll bite, 

I will tie up a bugger, probably silver with black hackle, Browns love them…..maybe purple I’ll post a pic tomorrow

I quickly tied one rubber legs nymph but to my defence ...

1. Tied only one

2. Didn't have patience to wrap wires side by side better

3. Cut front legs little shorter

4. when you see video that inspired me you will realize that I am not so good.

Wanted to tie up a silver bugger with black hackle and silver bullet nose tungsten bead. Browns in still water can’t resist them stripped in fast.

Problem is, I’m out of silver ostrich hurl that I use for the body…  this is a VERY heavy fly.

In faster deep water I use this fly as a “sinker”, the first fly in a two or three fly nymph rig to get the flys DEEP.

So, my second favorite color is purple with gold bead. 

hook.      2x long sz 8 or 10 heavy
tail.         Purple maribu  with purple ostrich hurl strands

body          Purple ostrich hurl

rib             Fine gold wire

hackle         Black 

lead     VERY HEAVY FLY

Head.         gold bead

Thank you. Looks like this challenges are too fast for me. Sorry. I was thinking we will see rubber legs tying for  a week and move on. I should delete my post?

Next challenge fly, I name a REVERSE SPIDER SOFT HACKLE,  like the ones used for sea run cuts up here in the northwest.

Remember, the tier who accepts the challenge, ties the fly and posts the pictures, gets to name the next challenge fly.

No.. to pretty of a fly to delete. 
It’s a week limit max time, no limit on how fast.

I'll accept, I've never tied or heard much about this style, I thought the only reverse hackles had to do with tenkara. Looks pretty simple, but probably won't get to it till the weekend.

it doesnt seem that a relatively new or slower tyer even has a chance at participating in this challenge

one tyer posted rubber legs and another tyer WANTED to post his rubber legs but it was already on to woolly buggers. the woolly bugger got posted and now its on to reversed hackles with no chance of a new or slower tyer participating

to any new or slower tyer - the next time you see what the next fly is going to be, and you want to tie that fly, then be the first one to chime in and reserve that fly and then take the 5 days or whatever is the time limit to tie it

so right now, @niveker has reserved the right to tie a "REVERSE SPIDER SOFT HACKLE". he now has 5 days to gather the required or substitute materials to tie that fly (How about 5 days as a target with a day or two for leeway?) and then declare the next fly to be tied

2. he now has up to 5 days to tie that fly

3. after posting that fly, he now declares what the next challenge fly is going to be

the first tyer to accept the challenge, has now reserved that to be tied. he now follows rule 2 and 3 and the process starts over

 

i think this would be fair for all tyers to participate
