#12 BH caddis

Recommended Posts

#12 caddis/larva hook

Small copper wire

6/0 olive uni thread

Olive green super fine dubbing

2 strands peacock hurl on 4 caddis flys

I was practicing with the dubbing and whip finisher. I think slowly I'm getting there.

Not perfect but they make excellent dropper under a dry fly.

What do you think?

Nice tie.  If you are interested in critique, consider keeping the rib raps the same at 6 or 5 turns, whatever, just be consistent.  Otherwise, looks good to me.

Thank you

Honestly I didn't even think about that when I was tying them. I will be more consistent in the future.

Consistency allows the fly tyer to vary single material components to improve performance, or to repeat past successes with a pattern.
