utyer 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2024 There are several lower priced fly rods out there all under $300. My favorites are the Maxxon Outfitters XX rods will fit nicely under your budget. I have been fishing them for several years now, and have sidelined all my expensive rods in favor of these. I have 3 of these. Over many years, I have fished with many different brands of fly rods. They all worked fine for me. Learning how to properly cast the rod is MUCH more important than the brand. You can find them online under the name above. (Maxxon Outfitters.com) If you have questions drop me a message. Or reply here.

This is primarily a fly fishing and fly tying site. Are you asking about fly fishing outfits? If so what fly line size or fish species are you targeting? kinburs3 0 Report post Posted April 28, 2024 I have the kistler helium and a loomis imx pro. Both are excellent rods! Both I highly recommened. Both I will purchase again in the future without a doubt. The kistler is a little harder to get my hands on before purchasing as they aren’t in any shops local to me. The loomis on the other hand is. Once if fishes my imx pro I was sold on the loomis rods and will be stepping up to glx and/or nrx very shortly!
