Heff2 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2024 tried to tie this one in per the instructions in Hale. Needs some work. Should have used a narrower tinsel so I could open the body wraps and avoid covering the last wrap, lesson learned. I think I’ll take a little more time and do a married wing version soon. Gotta break down and get some Kopter to I can trim the Jay hackle. Need finer scissor to trim those rachis. dyed some Amherst in place of cockatoo, it’s not marrying well which helped me to go mixed wing. Subbed teal for gadwall as mine is too sparse to be useful. I have some green parrot I thought about using but I think I prefer this colour.
SalarMan 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2024 Despite the fact I've never tied them, I just love mixed wings. Well done Arthur 👍

Heff2 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2024 Thx gents, the mixed wings look like them would move, would likely catch more fish than fishermen tho
Heff2 0 Report post Posted August 10, 2024 Here is the married wing version, if my cockatoo sub was better I would have put it in the wing instead of in the underwing.
