mcfly 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2005 Points right. Your poll is kind of skewed though since right handers will go right and left will go left. I think what you really wanted was those that tie with their non dominant hand.
CapeBSalar 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2005 I'm a right handed person who learned to tie left handed, don't ask why, just happened that way, makes learning different techniques from books a little harder as everything is geared towards right handed tier's tying right handed. One problem I had was my married wings and how I built them, it was totally backwards! Ron Alcott pointed that out to me. GOod advice. I'm not about to change, I'm very comfortable tying this way! atroutbum2 0 Report post Posted October 12, 2005 IM a swithch hitter, can tie with it either way, but i primarily tie right handed. Growing up left handed in a world of right handed, sadistic nuns, when in school forced me to be that way. (i still fear rulers and women in black)

Lance Kekel 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2005 Another vote for right handed here! Never tried to tie left handed before I may have to do try just to see how it works. I can bat and play hockey with either hand but I usually can't do other stuff like swing a hammer or write left handed. Oh and Will, That whole left handed people are more intelligent thing...... it was a lefty that came up with that little gem just to make themselves feel NORMAL! :gun_bandana:  :boxing:

Gregg A 0 Report post Posted October 17, 2005 I'm a lefty but wrap with the right, just because I can hold my materials in place better with the left.
WYKnot 0 Report post Posted October 18, 2005 Right handed for thread work and anything else that takes a steady touch. Interesting to note that about 87-90 percent of the human population is right-hand dominant (based on dominant hand for writing). Not at all a trait shared among other animals, to include nonhuman primates, where handiness is more symmetrical. The influence may be both selective (genetic) as well as acquired from learning manual task from others. My Dad is left-handed and he taught me to deal cards, a task I also do left handed.
