Thanks for the Christmas tinsel Graham!

No Master weaver here  The overhand weave is fool proof...Super easy.

I did this Caddis for the Swap and wanted to come up with something kinda different from the norm.

Called it StraightJacket because of the weave and crazy tail.I had to call it something

Thanks for the prop's

Brent this is a good looking little fly. I love the body on it. The upper view you put with it is awesome. I agree with Graham, "Master Weaver" man I could take some lessons from you on this.

Thank You Ashby!

The pattern edit button must be broken it keeps sending Me right to the Forum insted

Here's the edit- After the Partridge is wrapped trim off the barbs on top and bottom.Try shooting for 3 barbs on each side like the photo.

Brent,

That is one incredibly fine tie--smooth as silk!

I'd also like to thank you for not only filling out the materials, but the tying instructions as well--I hope this helps to inspire others to try a fly like this.

keep 'em comin'.

Thank You!

I find creating a killer abdomen on a fly hard for Me to do unless I use latex wraped or the Bug Wrap

in a weave.

The Bug Wrap weaved saves Me from coloring and glueing over laytex and the out come is sweet and fast.

It's only a matter of time before Tyers get interested in weaving again.

I use the overhand knot weave not only for the looks but because of how easy it is and how easy it is to show someone how to do it.

This weave is the easiest thing I've ever learned in tying other than laying a base of thread on a hook

I'd love to see what other creative patterns we could come up with on the forum weaving.

Brent
