flykid 0 Report post Posted February 16, 2007 Thanks, I got the pattern idea from the instructor of my first fly fishing class a couple summers ago. We went out after river smallies and I wasn't catching much with what i had on so he tied one of those flies that he invented on. I got a hit almost immediately. mitch821 0 Report post Posted February 23, 2007 Ok...so I get the flies all done the very night I signed up for this swap. Then waited a day or two b4 getting the pm for the address...Well I'm keeping the flies in my work coat...for some odd reason I kept them in 2 seperate containers(medicine container with black electric tape around them,they were sticky from the removing the label :dunno: ) in my work coat. Well a few days after getting the address I go to get the container out of my coat to ship them...but what do I find...only 1 container :crying: :bugeyes: All of these thoughts run through my head...WHERE ARE THEY!!!! AHHHHH...We were in the middle of moving in with the in/laws because we thought our house had sold....anywhoo I freak out..I ask my wife have you seen a container like this?(show her the other container) No she replies....ok I ask my father inlaw-answer=No. Great. So now I figure it has to be at work...working 3rds I have some free time that allows me to do most of my tying...I can't find em!!! Now I'm in a pickle I'm thinking I need to order some eyes online and get them shipped overnight so I can get them done and shipped. So one morning I ask my mother in law if she has seen a container like this..I hold it up for her to see and lo and behold her reply is "yes its at the shop" :yahoo: Now both my wife and father in law work at the "shop" (beauty salon) and my brother in law found it and everyone had agreed (wife and father inlaw included) that it was probably trash and to throw it away. Not my mother in law-she had him open it up and said those look like fishing things we should keep it, whoever it is will be back for them. THANK YOU MOTHER IN LAW!!!! I love her !!!!
