Not to be Critical Rich..But if you had a 35 pound Coho jumping in front of you you should have nailed him as he would have been a record!! Think you got mixed up a bit and wanted to say Chinook instead..I was up last week and hooked 25-30 and landed none!! Had Open Heart Surgery on June 21st and am not strong enough to even begin to turn them as of yet!!

Have the Chinook started running yet. 35 was a guess at best, but it was big and it was red. If it wasn't already hooked and I had a bat, I would have hit it on the head :) Reports from the weekend have been that the fish are running very big this year. Mostly Kings and Coho.

Yes there was a big run last week on Monday and Tuesday.. They are running huge this year and are a combo of Chinook and Coho Hybrid.. and have a very nasty attitude!! There are more fish in the Estuary right now then i have saw in a long time.. supposed to rain Thursday into Friday.. Then watch out..there will be a big run again soon!!

Cool, Hopefully my next trip up I'll hook one of those brutes. If I read correctly the Coho's not native, where the Chinook is. Think a Hybrid will have an impact?

It turns out that I have Box 2. I did not realize this until I clicked on Mystery Box Swap to what was happening just a little while ago. I apologize for the delay. I was out of town for a while and did not know any packages had arrived.

I have not been able to tie anything, everything is packed away due to renovations since April. So I will send the box out tomorrow am.

Good news, the homeowner will finish his projects in the next couple of weeks.

Again my apologies Rich.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Steve

:headbang: Bassbugn - Box #2 has landed in central cal. I'll load her up and send it out.

Rich - The boxes seemed to stay stagnant for awhile. Maybe it would be a good idea to see who is still in or needs to bow out for awhile? :dunno:

I am open to ideas on how to improve the Mystery Box Revival. I want to keep it going for as long as possible. Any and all feed back is welcome.

Hey Rich, the swaps been going pretty good we just had few hangups. Maybe listing the mailing order would help some. Knowing when your time is coming will give some time to have flies and mailing set aside for the box when it arrives. Also, it would allow a person to pass if they can't make that cycle. People have changing circumstance and may not be able to participate when it comes their turn.

Everybody should try to get the box mailed back out within a week or so.

May want people to reaffirm that they want to be in this cycle.

Cencalfly might be on to something there posting the mailing list would probably help and then we could all post upon recieving and sending the box on. By the way I'm in.

I hope these list help. If Everybody could try to get the box mailed back out within a week or so that would be great. I have a list created for cycle six. Please let me know if you wish to remain on the list for Cycle 6. I appreciate the quick response to my earlier post. Thank you for the help.

Once I'm in for cycle 5, keep me in for cycle 6 as well please. Since there are two boxes, do I need to tie up 15 for each box and then do my exchanges when they come around or am I good to go for both boxes as is?

Thanks,

Trez
