It depends what you are doing, For cliping thread I use a quik-snips, For cutting Deer hair and other demanding work I use a very heavy duty scissors and razor blades, For feathers and other average materials I use a Doctor Slick Micro tip scissors.

I do not have them in front of me but I think I am using a pair of Dr. Slick 4" Hair Scissors. They have a real nice fine point and cut like a pro.

Is it me or are Dr. Slicks new scissors the last year not as fine as they once were?

I have about six pairs of scissors on my desk. Some to cut tinsel and wire and other to use on other things. The first thing I do is make sure they are comfortable to hold in my hand. I like the bigger rings on the handles as they fit my hand better.

The siccors are usually on my hand as I am tying so being comfortable is important.
