Guest Report post Posted February 3, 2008 Well tied buggers! A white Zonker, Grey Ghost and Black-Nosed Dace will serve you well.
Slate_Drake_9 0 Report post Posted February 3, 2008 About half of my streamer fishing is done with an olive mohair leech with an orange bead head. Either on a swing for active fish or dead drifted for the sluggish ones. Great fly. Olive marabou tail just like a bugger. Olive mohair wrapped around the shank up to the bead. Orange bead, usually 1/8. For heavy water, I put 15-20 wraps of lead wire on. The other half is split up between olive buggers, black buggers, muddlers, mickey finns and white marabou streamers with a silver body. Although I don't fish it as often as the mohair leech, the mickey finn is my favorite because I can usually see it from a ways off and watch the trout grab it. shezli 0 Report post Posted February 4, 2008 I'm a big n of the muddlers. You can get different colors and make Mikey Finn Muddlers, or stuff a cone-head on there, tie in some marabou. Matukas are another favorite.

Old Hat 0 Report post Posted February 28, 2008 I like the mohair leeches also. Brown, dark red, rust, black. Also, streamers don't have to be big, try some those buggers you have in a size 10 or 12.
