Some more speys on AJ hooks

Recommended Posts

Very nice ties Frank,

Are you using rhea in the first one on the left ?

the color palette is interesting, how did you come up with it?

have these been productive for you or are you prototyping ?

lots of questions, sorry, :) I'm the ever curious,

Excellent work,

Cheers,

Speyman

Yes, the first one on the left is glycerined Rhea so it looks a little different than regular rhea feather fibers.

No real reason for the color selection, just having fun with what I have around.

I haven't fished them but like how they look in the sink.

I like putting a bright color near the hook point to give them something to key in on and aim for when they make their surprise attack. That's the reason for the different colors at the herl butt.

Other than that, I like to show them something that they most likely haven't seen.

Keep the questions coming!! No worries....

A little of this and a little of that to make the steelies take some of the time.

Hi Frank

Nice flies

I hope to be able to come up with something in the near future. A few ideas are on the drawingboard :)

It will surely be a Spey fly using the feathers you sent me.

regards

Jens
