When your swap flies take up the whole six person kitchen table. :shocking:  !!!!!

That's why you get leaves to put in & make the table bigger :hyst:

When you offer to bird sit for your friend, just to get the feathers

And you already have your alibi for when he picks them up. "It must have been the stress of you leaving that caused their feathers to fall out" :yahoo:

When snagging and losing flies is the main objective to your fly fishing.

When you arn't allowed to pet the cat for fear of a hidden pair of scissors

When you pluck a tail feather from a stuffed pheasant at a fishing lodge on the Bighorn and your reply to all the disbelieving bystanders is 'Well they shoulda known better.' (True story)

When you get a hair cut and for a split second hate to see all that hair go to waste.

When you visit your neighbor and they complain about the dead, slober covered starlings their dog keeps dragging into tthe yard and your first thought is 'How can I ask if I can have those birds without sounding like a lunatic?'

When you slow down traffic on a South Dakota interstate to nab some feathers off of a roadkilled pheasant. (Also a true story)

When you watch those shampoo commercials that have the chicks with really shiny hair and you wonder what kind of streamer that would make.

If you've ever climbed a tree over a river to grab a #20 midge that someone lost because it just might be the hot pattern.

If you have a running tab at the local fly shop.

If the family has to eat in the living room because the kitchen table is strictly reserved for tying.

When you run into a grizzly in the woods and taunt him into a fight.

There's a two percent chance you can live and get away with a fist full of his hair.

:jumpy: Freakin' Brilliant!!! :hyst:

'Our top story tonight, a local fly fisherman was found mauled to death after a savage grizzly attack....his fists still clenched two large tufts of the grizzly's hair. Police are still investigating the cause of the attack.' Ahahaa! :hyst:

When you wake up in the middle of the night with a possible solution to a pattern/technique you've been working on. ( Then go to your bench and try it ).

When u think fly tying is better than sex

When you can tie a fly during sex

When you HAVE to tie a fly as foreplay to sex.
