Futzer 0 Report post Posted March 12, 2009 Hi All, A friend asked me for advice on handling small beads, so I thought I would post my methods too. I use two items that really help keep them on the bench and off the floor. I use a short piece of Floral gum clay, which is a sticky removable gum to hold a couple inch piece of 3M No. 845 book binding tape to my bench, sticky tape side up. Then I pour a couple dozen beads onto the tape. I like the 3M tape as it is heavy and very sticky, if I drop a bead from my tweezers it sticks to the tape. I use an electronic test clip from Pomona Electronics to hold the shaft of the hook while I use heavy tweezers to put the bead on the hook. I have not tried the cupped tweezers for beads yet. I think the heavy ones work fine. Cheers, Futzer.
