NJFlyMAn 0 Report post Posted May 9, 2010 I use tiemco , but has anyone tried to use saber hooks sold by the fly shack. Just woundering if their worth trying thanks alto I purchased some Saber 100 pack hooks when the Fly Shack was at a local Fly fishing show here in NJ. I have had no problems with these hooks...But I think I'll get my next inexpensive bulk order of hooks from J. Stockard since they are a sponsor of this site... upstate tj 0 Report post Posted May 26, 2010 I mostly use mustad, partridge, daiichi, if partridge and daiichi were not so expensive I would use more of their hooks. Mustad price and strengh also their new line signature, the barbs blend right into the hook and seem truly barbless.
FishyboY 0 Report post Posted June 4, 2010 for my nymphs i am really digging the partridge hooks. they also make a really nice dry fly hook but hard to find. for my main dry fly hook i am using a Tiemco 100 which has worked nicely. Mustads for streamer hooks and nymph hooks and saltwater hooks.. gamakatsu hooks for bass.
