Bluegill Stillwater Nymph Pictures

As promised, here are the flies for the Bluegill Stillwater Nymph Materials List Swap. They are presented in no particular order. Just the random selection in which they came out of my flybox. Apologies for the poor photography. Will is the master when it comes to that.

 

The first fly is Scott V's Mini Tasty Green

Our third fly is a very nice damsel nymph tied by Pike-Hunter.

Tail: Marabou stripped to webby section

Body: Marabou wrapped and twisted

The 6th fly is a new one for me. Clownshoes! It was tied by Flytire. (Thanks for the materials, Flytire!)

Tail: Ice Eyelash Yarn

Wing Case: Moose Hair

Thorax: Peacock Herl or Dubbing

Bead: Your favorite color and size

Next is a fly that will HAVE to be a 'gill cather! Tied by Batman, it's a damsel nymph variant.

Number 8 in our list is the Chenille Dragon Nymph tied by Rich5665.

The next fly is the Bugeyed Bluegill Nymph. And BOY is it BUGeyed! You'd better cast this one with an open loop. But I bet it's going to be murder of the 'gills! Great looking fly.

Tail - Grizzly dyed tan hackle fibers

Body - Peacock herl with a thin strip of Chartreuse Poly yarn on both sides

Hackle - Grizzly dyed tan palmered over the body.

The Muskrat Nymph was tied by Andrewsr15, and it's a great looking pattern. Sure glad we have materials lists for these flies! I'm going to want to duplicate several of these patterns.

The next pattern is a caddis pupa. Very nicely done. Should make a great dropper pattern. It was tied by Fliesandfish.

Tail - Rabbit Hair - Olive - Cut from a Zonker Strip. Remove some, but not all of the fuzz.

Ribbing - Chartreuse Uni-Stretch

Body - Olive Rabbit Dubbing

Wings - Yellow round rubber - medium

Beard - Same as tail.

Head - Olive Rabbit Dubbing.
