My top 3 would be in no particular order... an Adam's, a size 6 or 8 black wooly bugger, and maybe a prince nymph.

Unweighted hare's ear nymph. Probably in a #14. Can't believe this one hasn't been taken yet. ;)

I know; I'm surprised. What's the old adage? "When In doubt, fish a hare's ear".

No fair, flykid. One fly. :j_k:

Hi Mike,

Without any doubt it would be a pheasant tail nymph caught more trout with this pattern than any other around the world

If this were a contest to catch largest trout - size 6 or 8 muddler minnow (not the clean prissy tie but the raggedy sculpin looking)

I could weight it and fish weight or fish even as a dry. Would be my choice even if no contest.

Next choice partridge and red size 12.
