smallieFanatic 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2009 This is a fly I sort of created for Smallmouth bass. This has probably been invented long before now, but it is a new fly to me. This is just one fish that I have caught on this fly. It is killer on the bass. Jan

smalltownfisherman 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2009 Nice flies Jan! Just wondering but, how fast do those flies sink with those cone-heads? gage
smallieFanatic 0 Report post Posted August 6, 2009 Thanks, they sink at a pretty good rate, especially when attatched to sink-tip line, which is what I usually use when I'm fishing these guys. Jan

BigDaddyHub 0 Report post Posted February 5, 2010 Originally, this style of fly was simply called a "hackle" fly....the design is simple, but deadly, although you have "classed" it up a little. Salmon, pike, and walleye also tend to smash red and white combinations. I would imagine the fresh chrome in your area would give a go as well.
