I've officially started my preparations for the 2009-2010 Steelhead season. :yahoo:

 

I am looking for the recipe for the "steelhead hammer"

 

can anyone hook me up with a recipe or website?

Never even heard of it before, but man that looks like a beut! I'm gonna tie a few up for a trip I'm goin on this weekend and see if the Salmon like it.

That Rusher's fly is AWESOME on the Salmon River!! Fished it for Steelies just this past spring and did really well on it..I have a couple Hammer Patterns will be sending you!

Here are a couple of pictures of What is called the Steelhead Hammer.. I have tweaked and did my own thing to them and they a great for Steelies in the Spring!!

Here is a fly I've great success with for all species on the SR.....black with a chatreuse dot is good as well. Try tying some rust colored stoneflies as well.
