Ray -

Great Idea!! Have you tried gluing the dowel into one of the two 'spools' so you have one less peice to keep up with?

This is one of the things that makes this forum great - the sharing of ideas like this.

Hey Ray -

Those look great, I'll take one! Seriously, that's a great idea and its simple. I have seen others attempt the same outcome and their solution requires a lathe and the rest of the metal shop. I do love using my old materelli midge bobbins and my new wasatch ceramic midge though.

I still owe you that picture of the waterhen skin, I suck at photography.. so I'm procrastinating.. sorry.. I'll get it done and posted today (on the flymph site).

Best,

Greg

Great solution, Ray. I'll be doing that as soon as I get back from my meeting tonight.

Wife : "Why are you doing that? It's 11 o'clock."

Tier : "It's OK, Ray told me to."

:P

Cool idea Ray. It's in the catagory of "why didn't I think of that". Thanks for sharing. I may use the silk I bought 6 months ago yet.
