That's a Catydid isn't it?
I believe you are correct
Yea I get them all the time crawling on my screen door at night underneath my porch light.
Bob you should of put a hook through it and turned it in for the contest “Most Creative Fly” catagory.

I was tying up some chartreuse Spring's wigglers and I felt something on my shoulder and look around and almost my pants
Bob, have you ever cought Hellgrammites or used them for bait?
They are the meanest insect on earth I think. They will scare the out of anyone. They can pinch the blood right out of you.
Those things scare me, no-
haha i hate hellgramites, i didnt think we had em around here till i picked up a rock to check for caddis and there was one of them big toothy monsters on the bottom of it, damn near jumped out my waders.
Bob i might think about checking checking into some new screen windows if i found that big ugly SOB crawlin on me while i was tying
The perfect insect to match with a nice big foam fly! Hawg trout would come from miles around!
Steve remember? I have been banished to the garage
did ya listen to him? i sent him with a message (he's my saint bernard catydid, the name's Charlie).
Ahh thats right, i forgot about you being exiled
Wow those are pretty rare to see. I hear them all the time but seldomly see one.
Maybe he saw your flys and could resist tryin to get close enough to mate..
