Firetiger 0 Report post Posted October 24, 2009 Terje, if I count correctly this is one yellow CDC, one brown CDC feather and a little dubbing for the body.... ... now that I call an awesome simplicity, almost Zen like. Thumb up!

Thumb up! Thanks a lot Ulf and Firetiger Firetiger: I used two cdc feathers. One yellow and one dark olive cdc feather with a drop of super glue at the back to make sure they stick togheter, and made a mix of cdc fibers and polyamid dubbing for the body. Used a coffee blender to mix dubbing material Terje!
McIntyre 0 Report post Posted October 27, 2009 Nice one Terje! Guess that one would have done the work some of the days Rena was covered by the yellow sally's.
utyer 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2009 There are Yellow and Lime colored "Sallys" on this side of the pond. This pattern is just the think for them. Nice one Terje. We use a fly in Utah called a Mormon Girl. It has a red egg sack on a yellow body. I will have to try your pattern on some of mine. I find this a really good summer fly for small streams in the mountians of the wester US.
Flyfish Dog 0 Report post Posted October 28, 2009 That is right Utyer! I now have time to tye those up and be ready when late spring comes and give them work out. I love simplicity in a fly. I have reading a European CDC fly tying book. Good read.
