Jim2Flies 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Thanks to the forum for starting this and thanks to the sponsors! It is a mutual relationship between vendors and end users that so often is lost in big business. Without the vendors what would we use? Without us who would use their products. I for one will check out the sponsors first when shopping for equipment. Kudos to all involved 2FLies soon to be 3flies again.
RodC 0 Report post Posted September 28, 2004 Jim That would be great. We are bad about selling things at very low prices. Thanks , RodC
Guest Report post Posted September 29, 2004 The guys over at Champion Outfitters just emailed me a little additional information about the rod that explains the new "ART" technology that St. Croix is using on their rods. QUOTE Advanced Reinforcing Technology (ART) is a proprietary St. Croix manufacturing process which adds strength to our rods in critical locations without adding weight or increasing the rods diameter. By adding a very thin layer of special graphite fibers wrapped around the blank at right angles to the regular longitudinal fibers, ART significantly increases the hoop strength of the blank that will even resist crushing from accidents (such as stepping on the rod) or similar extreme loads that the blank was never designed to withstand. Jim2Flies 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2004 I just looked at my post... I don't understand it! I just wanted to say thanks for donating. Most vendors won't do this. Once they get soooo big they forget about the lil guy. Generosity goes a long ways. Jim2flies
