Guest Ladykiller Report post Posted October 30, 2003 Hey Guys, Just wondering what brand and style hooks do you use for a micro-egg? I love the TMC 105's but they are only made in size 10 at the smallest. I need smaller for my trip to Arkansas this fall. Any suggestions? I am looking for something in a straight eye though, preferably daiichi, tiemco, or some other high-end hook. Tim

Guest Report post Posted October 30, 2003 is an egg a fly, or is it just an egg? You egg tiers drive me nuts!!! LOL
Guest Report post Posted October 30, 2003 Hey Tim, What about an Orvis 8891? It's a slightly up-turned eye, but not much. They're supposed to be a Worm/Caddis hook. I tied some in a 14, looks pretty good. Kinda pricey though.

Guest Report post Posted October 31, 2003 i have to agree with the eagle claw L42's. they have a wide gap and are offset. i tie all of my eggs on them. actually i believe that i have showed you a couple of them when we met up in wellston a couple of years ago.
