Upside down CDC Wings or parachute?

Recommended Posts

I have a few plies, mostly PMD's that have a really cool wing or parachute, I can't quite figure it out..

I can see that the wing or parachute is CDC, and it looks like it upside down or something, because it looks like lace..

What is the technique called and how do I tie it?

Thanks!

Brian

Do you have a picture of the fly? I think you are talking about a wing that is tied in by the stem, the fibers are pulled down and tied in at the base to make it look like a wing. I hope I explained this correctly, I don't know the name of the technique.
