Thomas the SBS instructions look great. I do have a question though I contacted michaels and they said the only craft fur they sell is one inch long from the hide to the tips and it is white. Is this the same craft fur you tied the fly with? BF

Do you guys know if AC Moore has craft fur that would be usable for fly tying? That's whats closest to my house.

Thanks for bringing up this old topic. I am starting to play with some craft fur and other synthetics for bass and salt. Wouldn't have occurred to me to dub it.

It looks like the first clump still has the underfur in. Does anyone see a reason to keep it in? I always brush it out.

I don't think the longer furs are as rare now as they were back in 2011.

Just like "genetic hackle, it's been genetically engineered through selective breeding.
