P.Dieter 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2011 My tying area continues to come together since remodeling the whole house. First was the built in vacuum system with a port under the vise base. I wasn't sure if that was going to be useful or a joke but after a year of use it has been better than I could have imagined. I bought some sheet metal pieces and painted them months ago but forgot about them and just recently glued them up and got some peel and stick magnetic tape for some of the boxes I want easy access to but don't have desk space for. My first vision was a large piece on the wall but I needed shelving more. I'm not a fan of peg or slot board and this alternative has worked out well. I haven't seen these any where else so I thought I'd share with the only people I know who might appreciate it.

P.Dieter 0 Report post Posted April 1, 2011 Nice setup, but I have to wonder how many times you hit the dubbing boxes with your knees hasn't been a problem it's a 32" opening and they are stuck on there pretty good. but yea on a smaller desk you might not be able to afford loosing the space. I'm thinking more for people who might want to mount it to a wall.

P.Dieter 0 Report post Posted July 9, 2011 some more photos since this is up on the main thread and their space was limited cleaned up with a new set of shelves next to the chair turns out to not be a knee knocker situation but would also work great on a wall This "fly studio" often stays set up for quick photos how the foam gasket port looks the ducting set up and sound deadening box and foot switch this dust collection conversion is great for turning cork/balsa poppers
