South Dakota Pics & Free Feathers

Recommended Posts

Here's some pics from my pheasant hunt last week in SD. We had a great time & saw some new country. There's sure a lot of open space there with towns 30-40 miles apart. Note the 65 mph speed limit sign on a two lane highway. The group photo is from one day when we limited out in about 3 hours. The one with the birds on the back of the truck was the next day. Again limited out in about 6 hours. I brought home lots of feathers & would like to share them with you. So here's the deal. The first (10), U.S. only, to PM me will get a large bunch of tail feathers. All you need to do is send me a book of 1st class postage stamps. I'll furnish the envelope & get them out to you right away so you can stay busy this winter.

Birds are nice but those dogs are real beauties!!!!! Nice offer for you to make too. I'm good on feathers but I wouldn't mind helping an under 16 year old on a tight budget with postage in order to get some. Eligible <16 should post how they could "pass on" catalpa joe's good karma, I'll send the stamps to him and Joe can pick out the most worthy. Sound good Joe?

Thanks for the offer and for including me. I love the expression on the face of the middle dog. Thanks for sharing the fruits of a great hunt. :)

Great pics. The license plate on the one truck puts you way up north by Lemmon. Were you really way up there? I'll be headed out that direction in a week and a half - north of Sturgis for deer season. Glad your hunt went well too. Our pheasant numbers are down about 40% this year, so people have been worried about it. But we are also comming off of years of record numbers, so it's all relative. It is beautiful country, isn't it? Just drove from Sioux Falls to Pierre and back yesterday and today. Man, I love living here.
